My name is Angelica Zaid and I’m a Board Certified OB/GYN physician practicing medicine in San Diego, California.
My exploration into health and nutrition was initially driven by requests from family who often came to me seeking solutions to their ailments. As a result, I decided to study natural remedies and health optimization in college.
Through my undergraduate experience at U.C.L.A. and Medical School studies at the University of California, San Diego, I obtained top-notch training in research and extensive clinical experience. I received numerous honors and awards at U.C.S.D. Medical School, including the Joseph Stokes Award for my research on factors affecting access to prenatal care.
After graduating Medical School, I accepted a Medical Residency position in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the prestigious Phoenix Integrated Residency Program in Phoenix, Arizona. Here, I honed my surgical skills in minimally-invasive techniques and gained extensive clinical acumen. I received numerous awards in my Residency program including “Best Resident Research Presentation” for a study on the early diagnoses of Cervical Cancer.
After graduating Phoenix Integrated Residency Program, I founded Women’s Integrative Health in San Diego, California, practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology. I have been an early adopter of Integrative Medicine in North County San Diego, being the first to introduce Hypnosis for Childbirth and popularize natural therapies for menopause, and promote alternatives to hysterectomies. I specialize in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and enjoy helping women with hormonal imbalances get their lives back on track.
I am a Board Certified Physician and Surgeon by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and experienced in Anti-Aging medicine. I am a member in good standing of ACOG, the California Medical Association and the San Diego County Medical Society.
I enjoy speaking on bio-identical hormones at medical conferences and have appeared on numerous television networks, including ABC, NBC and CBS.
